The first block of several containing a large and incredibly rare Middle Devonian placoderm. The skull and thoracic plates show beautiful elongate ornamentation.

Placoderms were a group of armoured fish that were some of the first jawed fish in the fossil record. They went extinct at the end of the Devonian.
